Dang it! I searched around for a couple hours before turning to Apple support. The App Store took my code but I couldn’t find it in my purchases tab.

I expected to be able to download it, and burn it to a DVD as I have in the past with previous version of OS X. The next day I received the code and entered it into the App Store on my 2018 MacBook Pro running MacOS Catalina. I googled around and found that Apple still sells OS X Lion on ! It’s a downloadable product! Perfect! I purchased it for $19.99 and waited a day for the email with my App Store code to arrive. So I needed to find or make an OS X Lion install DVD. Well it turns out the model didn’t have a recovery partition and it didn’t support the Internet recovery firmware either. It all started when I received a 2008 white MacBook from a friend asking me to wipe and restore. This subreddit is not endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc.
